Since 1904, Lutheran Hospital has been a cornerstone of healthcare, serving Fort Wayne and the broader regions of northeastern Indiana and northwestern Ohio. As a 396-bed tertiary care facility, we are proud to be accredited by The Joint Commission and part of the esteemed Lutheran Health Network. Our commitment is to deliver compassionate, high-quality care, ensuring every patient receives the best possible experience while positively impacting our community.

Beyond traditional healthcare, Lutheran Hospital offers a range of specialized services. We are home to Level II verified adult and pediatric trauma centers and a certified comprehensive stroke center. Our comprehensive cancer program is accredited, and we boast northeastern Indiana's only accredited comprehensive bariatric surgery center. Our leadership in cardiac care is evident through our extensive cardiology and cardiovascular services.

Our accolades include the HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence, the highest recognition from the American College of Cardiology. We hold accreditations for AFib with electrophysiology services, a chest pain center with PCI and Resuscitation, a cardiac cath lab with PCI, heart failure with outpatient services, and a Certificate of Distinction for our ventricular assist device program. Additionally, we are certified as a ventricular assist device destination therapy provider and were the first in Indiana to receive Transcatheter Valve certification.

Understanding that young patients have unique needs, Lutheran Children's Hospital offers specialized care for infants, children, and teens. Our dedicated inpatient, outpatient, and ER settings are designed specifically for kids, ensuring they receive tailored care in an environment suited to their needs.
