Lifespace Communities, Inc., a not-for-profit organization with over 45 years of financial stability, is widely respected for its success. This stability allows us to access tax-exempt bonds, facilitating capital raising with lower financing and debt costs. Originally organized as Life Care Retirement Communities in 1976 by Fred Weitz, we rebranded as Lifespace Communities, Inc. in 2009 to reflect our evolving vision.

Our history is marked by growth and innovation. From our first community, Friendship Village of Bloomington, to our most recent additions—Meadow Lake in Tyler, TX; The Craig in Amarillo, TX; Wesley Court in Abilene, TX; and GreenFields of Geneva in 2023—we continue to expand our reach and impact.
