With over 20 years of experience, Hospice of Virginia has been serving hospice patients across the state since 1996. Founded by a member of the committee that established the Medicare Hospice Benefit in 1983, we have a rich history of enhancing community members' quality of life. As one of Virginia's oldest and largest hospices, we serve over 60 counties. We pioneered in-patient respite care and continue to operate an in-patient unit at Retreat Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, providing comprehensive care throughout the hospice journey.

Our Clinical Team Assistant, Nancy Russell, reflects on her two decades with us: "I am honored to be part of a dedicated team at Hospice of Virginia, offering hope and dignity to patients and support to their families." In 2019, we joined the ADDUS HomeCare family, allowing us to concentrate on excellent patient care while ADDUS manages operational aspects like insurance and tech support. ADDUS HomeCare is a leading provider of home care services for the elderly, disabled, and chronically ill, focusing on those facing life-limiting illnesses or at risk of hospitalization.
