In 2002, we launched our first senior living community in Omaha, Nebraska, with a clear mission: to offer retirement living options that truly resonate with the desires of our residents and their families. By engaging with community members, leaders, seniors, and their families through numerous focus groups, we gathered invaluable insights to shape our offerings. Our approach was simple yet profound—listen, learn, and innovate based on what people genuinely want in their retirement life.

Despite the growing number of senior living options in the Midwest, we set out to distinguish ourselves by excelling in every aspect. This commitment to excellence gave rise to our tagline, "Living Better." As we expanded Heritage Communities, we crafted a Mission Statement that reflects our dedication: creating the senior living experience you desire by connecting you to a community that aligns with your needs and lifestyle.

Our Vision Statement guides us in achieving this mission. Heritage Communities aims to be the preferred choice for retirement living in every market we serve. We achieve this by implementing top-tier lifestyle enrichments, senior-focused technologies, and innovative care approaches. Our Values underpin how we lead and care across all our communities.

Celebrating two decades of service in 2022, we proudly operate 15 Heritage Communities across Nebraska, Iowa, Arizona, and Texas. Our offerings include Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Respite Care.

At Heritage Communities, Independent Living means more—more fun, freedom, flexibility, and choices. We provide seniors with an engaging and independent lifestyle while offering additional services as needed.

Our Assisted Living ensures personal care with a supportive touch. Residents enjoy private or semi-private apartments with 24-hour access to skilled caregivers for assistance with daily activities like bathing and medication management.

For those needing extra support but not requiring Memory Care, our exclusive Snapshots program offers tailored activities for residents with mild cognitive impairments. Snapshots provides small group or one-on-one engagements to ensure enjoyable social experiences without the overwhelm of larger gatherings.
