We are dedicated to offering comprehensive services for children and adults facing intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as mental health challenges, in Portland, the Northwest, and beyond. Our mission is to empower individuals with these challenges to lead self-determined lives within their communities.
Our vision is a world where everyone thrives in nurturing and inclusive environments. We uphold values of compassion, partnership, advocacy, accountability, and innovation in all we do. As Oregon's largest provider of 24-hour residential care for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), we offer a stable, safe, and nurturing home environment for children, teens, and adults.
We are at the forefront of creating employment opportunities for adults with I/DD and operate the only standalone subacute children's crisis psychiatric facility in Oregon. Our leadership extends to statewide policy discussions on disability and mental health care. We drive industry discussions, training, and innovation in best practices for programs serving children with dual diagnoses.
Our approach is rooted in evidence-based and trauma-informed care. Since our founding in 1907, Albertina Kerr has been committed to reaching out to, protecting, and caring for those who need us most. Over the decades, our services have evolved to meet the changing needs of the community while our core values remain steadfast.
Today, we continue to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and mental health challenges by providing inpatient crisis psychiatric mental health care for youth and supportive residential care programs. Our expert caregivers are dedicated to fostering environments where everyone can thrive.
