In 1980, Roy Morgan established Air Methods, driven by a personal experience that underscored the necessity of well-equipped and staffed air medical service helicopters. Starting with just one helicopter and a single hospital contract in Colorado, he committed to prioritizing safety and exceptional patient care. Today, we uphold these core values, ready to respond when it matters most.
Each year, we conduct over 100,000 transports, accumulating more than 150,000 flight hours. For over four decades, Air Methods has been devoted to emergency air medical transport, emphasizing patient care quality and aviation safety. We deliver lifesaving care to over 100,000 patients annually, responding solely upon requests from physicians or first responders.
Our dedication extends to providing expert care and education within the communities we serve. We partner with our customers to ensure excellent patient care throughout every phase of the patient experience. As a leading provider of critical care transport services, we view our customers as integral to our mission and are committed to offering continuing education that enhances patient outcomes.
Our Outreach Courses are crafted and regularly updated by a team of content experts using the latest evidence-based practices. Accredited by the California Board of Registered Nursing and the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE), each course offers one CE credit unless specified otherwise. These courses are available for virtual or in-person presentations and are provided free of charge to our customers. Local Flight Nurses and Flight Paramedics with expertise in each topic deliver these courses.
