- Position Overview
- Person Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our Emergency Department team. As an ER nurse on the night shift, youll provide direct and immediate care to patients with a wide range of urgent medical conditions, trauma, and acute illness. Youll work alongside experienced clinicians in a fast-paced environment where critical thinking and decisive action are essential.
- Key Responsibilities
- eth;#159;copy;ordm; Triage incoming patients and assess acuity and urgency of care needs
- Administer medications, IVs, wound care, and life-saving interventions
- Respond to cardiac, respiratory, and trauma emergencies swiftly and efficiently
- Document assessments, treatments, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with ER physicians, specialists, and ancillary support staff
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and discharge instructions
- Maintain adherence to safety protocols and infection prevention standards
- Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- eth;#159;#142; Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN or BSN)
- eth;#159;#149;deg; Minimum 2 years of acute care experience preferred; ER experience highly desirable
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility and resilience to excel in overnight and high-stress situations
