Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist is responsible for screening, evaluating, and treating patients within a structured rehabilitation program. This role includes supervising Physical Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Technicians, while developing individualized care plans focused on restoring function, independence, and mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and create custom treatment plans
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Rehab Techs
- Track and document patient progress and outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy and home programs
- Maintain regulatory documentation standards
- Meet productivity and quality benchmarks
Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current Physical Therapist license (state-specific)
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Physically capable of patient handling (transfers, mobility assistance)
- Willing to travel between care sites if needed
