General Summary of Position
The Specialty Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist(s) in all areas of pharmacy operations, including data entry, product dispensing, and packing of prescription orders in a high-volume fulfillment and / or call center environment on a multidisciplinary team. The position requires routine interaction with in clinic liaisons, pharmacists, and providers, as well as specialty pharmacy patients with complex medication needs requiring high touch care and follow up. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

Experience

• 1-2 years Pharmacy technician experience in a retail, long term care, mail order, or specialty pharmacy setting required

Licenses and Certifications

• Successful completion of the pharmacy technician certification through the nationally accredited certification examination of PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or the ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians) within 6 months of hire date; within 180 Days required and
• Pharmacy technician licensure required or
• registration as required by the state where the pharmacy is located required

This position has a hiring range of $19.17 - $33.08
