Job Summary and Qualifications

The Breast Sonographer performs diagnostic medical ultrasound examinations as requested by referring physicians fort patients. The Breast Sonographer creates a therapeutic environment for patients and their families and carries out functions in a manner consistent with total quality care.

What qualifications you will need:

Education:

• Registry or Certification from accredited two year Allied Health Program or two years of college with emphasis on the Biological sciences.

• Satisfactory completion of formal Ultrasound training program or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• Previous experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is desirable.

Licensure/Certification:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Registered or Registry Eligible, American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

• Must renew certification and/or registration annually with 30 hours of continuing education bi-annually.

• Licensed in the State of New Hampshire with the Board of Medical Imaging Radiation Therapy.

Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm.
