Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care/ICU

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with critical care/ICU experience to join our healthcare team. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a group of patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to promoting health, preventing illness, and alleviating suffering, all while advocating for individuals and families.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill patients.
- Educate patients and their families on health promotion and disease management utilizing available resources.
- Safely administer medications and maintain a working knowledge of pharmacology in line with established policies.
- Share responsibility for productivity, effective resource utilization, staffing, time management, and supply management.
- Comply with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements.
- Actively participate in the Nursing Shared Governance Model and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in professional development and continue nursing education while meeting all mandatory educational requirements.
- Incorporate nursing research and current evidence into daily practice.
- Provide a supportive learning environment for new staff and nursing students.
- Uphold the values of the organization in all interactions.

Schedule Details:

- Night shift (MT4)
- 36 hours/week
- ICU experience required, particularly with ventilators and vasoactive medications
- Skills checklist specific to ICU experience is mandatory
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Required Skills Experience:

- Six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing (RN) experience in an acute care setting.
- Collaboration and communication skills (verbal written) are essential.
- Strong judgment and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in organizational skills, planning, time management, and problem-solving.
- Commitment to quality, reliability, and safety in patient care.

Education Certification:

- Required: Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing and a current NYS RN License.
- Required: BLS certification (from AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing and relevant nursing specialty certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC).
