Job Summary and Qualifications- Document patient information and perform other non-clinical duties to support procedure completion.
- Greet and identify correct patient and provide a brief explanation of requested procedure to ensure patient care and patients right to know.
- Perform all aspects of radiopharmaceutical preparation for scintigraphic, bioassay, and therapeutic procedures and disposes of radioactive trash according to department policy and Nuclear Regulatory Commission standards.
- Perform imaging and therapeutic procedures according to requirements.
- Perform non-clinical activities pertinent to equipment maintenance and NRC regulations for Quality Control and radiation monitoring.
- Maintain appropriate supplies and a clean, organized work environment.
- Participate in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of Nuclear Medicine.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Must read, understand, and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.
- Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.
What qualifications you will need:
- Able to communicate on a professional level with patients, nurses, physicians and other ancillary staff.
- Must be able to provide quality results for diagnostic testing.
- Provides a sensitive and supportive environment for patients and family members.
- Graduate of accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
- CNMT or ARRT registry eligible.
- Experience in Nuclear Medicine (may include experience in formal NM formal training program)
- Prefer three years experience in nuclear medicine department.
- Required to be registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Or Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist
