$4 Shift differential (2nd shift evenings), $1 shift differential (weekends)

Department/Unit Summary

5A is an acute care medical surgical unit. On a typical day, 6A has 24 patients with a 1:6 nurse/patient ratio and 1:10 CA/patient ratio.Atilde; Atilde; We serve the general population of hospitalized patients with a variety of conditions. The conditions include illnesses, surgery, testing, and observation patients. We take care of patients with comorbidities like diabetes, hypertension, stroke, renal and psychiatric issues.Atilde; WhileAtilde; caring for our patients is the focus, 5A boasts a strong team environment, improved nurse communication and a commitment to SOVAH Healths core values.Atilde;

Qualifications:

Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelors degree preferred). Additional requirements include:

American Heart Association Basic Life Support

Experience in clinical area preferred
