Job Summary and Qualifications

As an ARRT in the cardiac catheterization lab, you will be a vital part of the team, assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to cardiovascular health. This role requires precision in X-ray guided interventions, maintaining sterile environments, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients throughout their procedures. Your expertise in vascular procedures, combined with a commitment to accurate documentation and inventory management, will help ensure the success of the department and the best outcomes for patients.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• Assist the physician in performing X-ray guided cardiac catheterizations, ballooning, and stenting of cardiac and peripheral vessels.

• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment before and during procedures.

• Input patient and procedure data accurately into the system.

• Maintain arterial and venous hemostasis post-procedure.

• Transport and position patients safely for procedures.

• Ensure patient safety during and after the procedure.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all procedures.

• Manage and maintain medical supplies and inventory for the lab.

• Participate in the departments Performance Improvement (PI) plan.

• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth, development, and the appropriate care for patients of different age groups.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the physician or supervisor.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

• Must be a Registered Radiographer (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
