• Tasks and responsibilities, you will:
• • • Assess, plan and evaluate patient care needs.
    • Prioritize patient care based on acuity level and available resources.
    • Assist physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
    • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds and monitor vital signs.
    • Monitor, record and communicate patient condition, as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation system.
    • Provide age and culturally appropriate care.

  • Position Qualifications:

  • . FL RN Licensure or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)

  • . Current certifications: BLS ACLS (AHA)

  • . Basic EKG course required/certification required or successful completion of an arrhythmia examination with a score of 85% or greater within 30 days of hire. 12 Lead Course preferred

  • . Intra Aortic Balloon Course mandatory or competed within two months of hire

  • . In lieu of IAB course, one year documented experience with IABC is required

  • . CCRN Certification preferred by not mandatory.

  • . Customer service abilities including effective listening skills

  • . Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. Lawnwood Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery. Other hospital services include labor/delivery, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, adult and pediatric emergency services, and diagnostic services. We also offer inpatient, and outpatient surgical services.

Lawnwood Hospital is a designated Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Physical Rehabilitation Center is CARF accredited. We are a Level II Trauma Center. We are verified by the American College of Surgeons. We offer a freestanding ER in Vero Beach. We provide emergency treatment for adults and children.
