- DAY 1 PASS FAIL SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU ED. NyICU only has to do Foley catheter insertion. ED does Foley catheter insertion but does port-a-cath insertion instead of central line dressing change
- Medical Solutions Pre-Screens, if clinical recommends, sends to manager for approval to offer, no 2nd interview

- Additional Questions: Nurses need to be comfortable with high level of communication and personal involvement with patients and family. Partnership of care. Acute MedSurg care (IV therapy, wounds, etc.)
