Primary Purpose of this Job

ATI Specialty Materials, an Allegheny Technologies Company, is a recognized world leader in the production of specialty alloys including titanium, nickel and specialty steel for the aerospace, biomedical, oil gas, chemical processing and nuclear industries. We are seeking qualified candidates for the following position in Monroe, NC: Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Level III Engineer

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)

Direct mill support
Training, certification and performance reviews of NDT personnel
Order planning
Support to other departments, primarily Certification and Product Engineering groups.
Test results approval
NDT specification review.
NDT procedure development
Direct customer support
Perform external and internal audits
Development of new technologies
Interaction with industry groups

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field, or four years of equivalent experience
1 year of experience in Ultrasonic inspection
ASNT UT Level II certification
Able to attain ASNT UT Level III certification within 1 year of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience In Eddy Current inspection
