What Youll Need to Qualify
- Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations
- EPIC experience preferred
- Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility
- Ability to complete orientation and training (options available to fit your schedule)

General Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist responsible for performing various therapeutic procedures, including advanced practice procedures such as:
- Operate balloon pumps
- Work in NICU
- Perform Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)
Participates in orientation of staff and student training programs for Trinity Health, a teaching institution representing the Respiratory Care department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Behaves in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and guiding behaviors
- Provides professional leadership in patient care delivery
- Uses AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) when treating patients
- Applies Managing Up during patient interactions
- Provides a consistent patient/family experience using Key Words at Key Times
- Serves as consultant, resource, and role model in committees or work groups
- Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines
- Fosters cooperative relationships; approaches conflict constructively
- Maintains safe respiratory practices; reports safety issues
- Performs all RT duties per AARC guidelines; maintains competencies per RT II orientation
Clinical Responsibilities
- Responds to cardiopulmonary arrest situations
- Provides care in other emergency situations
- Participates in patient rounds
- Delivers treatments per physician orders and approved medical protocols
- Ensures equipment safety and contacts repair personnel when needed
- Based on clinical assessment, suggests therapy changes to medical staff
- Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen and medical air shutdown procedures
- Maintains knowledge of hospital and departmental policies
