Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med-Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team on a night shift schedule. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients in our 42-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit, focusing on diverse patient populations including Cardiac, Diabetes, CHF, COPD, Renal, General Surgery, and Orthopedics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical telemetry environment.
- Manage patient ratios of 1 to 6, ensuring each patient receives optimal care.
- Administer medications and treatments, including Insulin, Heparin, and Lasik drips, in accordance with clinical best practices.
- Float to similar acuity units as needed based on patient census and departmental needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNAs, unit secretaries, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members when applicable.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license and relevant certifications (ACLS, BLS) are required.
- Experience with various patient populations and conditions is essential.
- Familiarity with electronic charting systems is preferred.
- Previous charge experience is a plus.
- Medical/religious exemptions for COVID-19 vaccine requirements will be considered.
- Must reside beyond a 50-mile radius of the healthcare facility.
