Job Description: CVICU Nurse - Day Shifts

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled CVICU Nurse to join our team at a leading healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details:
- Schedule: Day shift and rotating shifts, including the possibility of night shifts as needed based on operational demands.
- Hours: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM).

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on health-related issues and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and outcomes.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in CVICU prior to travel assignments.
- Current, active Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
- Must work at least every other holiday.
- Experience with ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication practices.

Additional Requirements:
- One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required for submission.
- Background checks will be conducted, and candidates must have no open cases or license issues.
- Compliance with nicotine-free requirements (unless exempt) and completion of a drug screening.
