Birthing Center RN- 36 hr NIGHTS with every third weekend rotation. 7p-7a
Experience: 2 years of LDRP experience strongly preferred

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications Required:
. State of Massachusetts RN licensure (or eligibility)
. BLS Certification
. NRP

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications Preferred:
. BSN

We are an 12 bed LDRP unit with a level 1B neonatal care center. We birth approximately 600 babies per year.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

. Advocates for patients and families to ensure positive patient care outcomes.
. Documents all changes as well as relevant information regarding patients response to intervention, therapeutic regimens, and patient progress as it relates to plan of care and patients response to teaching.
. Communicates effectively with patients, families peers and other members of the healthcare team.
. Includes patient, family, and caregivers in all aspects of care while ensuring that all explanations are understandable.
. Cares for patients throughout the following phases of care: triage, labor, delivery, recovery, circulate and cesarean sections, postpartum and well newborn care.
. Attends deliveries when appropriate. Implements stabilization process according to NRP guidelines.
. Responds effectively and professionally in a crisis situation.
. Provides resources to assist patients and families with post-discharge needs.

Scheduled Hours: 36 hrs

Work Shift: 7p-7a

Education Required: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
