Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Location: Asheville, NC

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Telemetry Nurse to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in providing high-quality patient care within a fast-paced hospital environment, specifically in a 36-bed telemetry unit equipped with advanced medical monitoring devices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care to individuals on telemetry monitoring, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individual care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions through telemetry and promptly respond to any changes.
- Educate patients and families on health management and medication instructions.
- Participate in the preparation of patients for procedures such as Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology (IR), and Operating Room (OR) activities.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient documentation using the Cerner EMR system.

Qualifications:
- Current BLS certification is required.
- Experience in Medical Telemetry is mandatory.
- Preferred: Leadership experience, Charge Nurse experience, and a BSN.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 36
- Staff: 50+ including RNs, CNAs, and HUCs.
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:5/6 during the day and 1:6/7 at night.
- Equipment: Medical remote telemetry monitoring, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), workstations on wheels.

Schedule Requirements:
- Must commit to six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for night shifts.
