Position Summary:
The RN Clinical Manager of the Womens Services Department assists the Director in the day to day operations of the nursing unit and assumes responsibility for the unit in the Directors absence. The RN Clinical Manager assures the delivery and continuity of patient care serving as a resource for subordinate staff, facilitating problem solving, assisting with Quality Improvement Activities, staff education and assuring compliance with established policies and procedures and other duties as assigned. Completes the supervisory activities of the OB/Labor and delivery, inclusive of staffing, scheduling, monitoring staffing hours, assisting with the establishment, review and/or revision of policies and procedures, and assisting with completion of annual staff evaluations.
Promotes an environment that encourages team building by courteously, cooperatively and effectively working with physicians, ancillary, nursing and other support personnel in maintaining the standards of professional nursing practice in the multidisciplinary setting.
Completes the supervisory activities of the Labor and Delivery Unit, inclusive of staffing, scheduling, monitoring staffing hours, assisting with the establishment, review and/or revision of policies and procedures, and assisting with completion of annual staff evaluations.
Provides the leadership skills required of an experienced Registered Nurse, while ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- RN License from Arizona or a compact state required.
- Associates degree Required. Bachelors degree or Masters Degree preferred
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Required
- STABLE Preferred
- Fetal Monitoring Certification - Intermediate Required
- NIH stroke scale within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter
- 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
