Position Overview
Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated RN to join our Telemetry team for night shift coverage. This role involves closely monitoring patients with cardiac and other critical conditions using advanced telemetry systems. You'll work in a dynamic environment where keen observation, quick decision-making, and compassionate care are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient status
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and interventions according to physician orders
- Accurately document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record
- Respond to emergent situations with professionalism and speed
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and fellow nurses to manage care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac care, medications, and discharge instructions
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN or BSN)
- eth;#159;#149;deg; Telemetry, Med-Surg, or acute care experience preferred (minimum 1 year)
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills
- Comfortable working independently during overnight hours
