Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) - Resource Float Unit

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Resource Float Unit for a 12-hour night shift position. This role involves working across multiple medical/surgical telemetry units, providing high-quality patient care to a diverse population.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across Medical/Surgical Telemetry Units (R5, R6, R7).
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage care for patients with varying diagnoses, including Med Surg Oncology, Med Surg Orthopedics, and Med Surg Urology.
- Perform essential nursing procedures such as IV therapy, bladder scans, blood draws from central lines, and glucose monitoring.
- Adapt to floating across different units as needed, including working with ED Hold patients.
- Adhere to all unit-specific procedures and protocols.

Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, with at least 1 year of experience in a medical/surgical telemetry specialty.
- Current AHA BLS certification is required; CMSRN certification is preferred.
- Previous experience with EPIC documentation system within the last 2 years is mandatory.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification is required prior to starting.
- Ability to work every other weekend and two out of three holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, New Years Day/Eve).
- Reliable transportation, as public transport options are limited; personal vehicle or rental vehicle recommended.

Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts with a rotation as scheduled.
- Orientation period of 1 day.
- Weekend and holiday requirements apply.

Patient Population:
- Age range: 25-99 years.
- Patient diagnoses include: Med Surg Oncology, Med Surg Orthopedics, and Med Surg Urology.

Special Equipment:
- IV Pumps, Bladder Scanners, and access to 24/7 respiratory support.

Dress Code:
- Navy blue and white scrubs in solid colors, with minimal jewelry and groomed hair.
