Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Number of Beds: 16
Patient Ratios: 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
Unit Staffing Description: RNs only (no HUC or PCT)
Type of Equipment: Ventilators, Telemetry, Baxter IV Pump, IABP, CRRT, Impella, Hypothermia
Documentation System: Cerner
Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours/week, alternating weekends, 12-hour shifts
Floating Policy: Travelers float to all areas
Patient Experience Requirements: ICU experience required

Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurses to join our exceptional Critical Care Unit team. This unit is committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, treating patients with complex and critical medical conditions. You will be responsible for delivering safe and efficient care, while adhering to the highest standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including titration of vesicant medications and familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics.
- Provide comprehensive care for patients on ventilators, tracheostomies, and telemetry monitoring.
- Conduct hemodynamic monitoring and interpret PA catheter data.
- Perform advanced procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, and chest tube maintenance.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient experience and outcomes.

Requested Skill Set:
- Titration of Vesicant Medications
- Familiarity with Pressors, Sedation, Paralytics
- Experience with Vents, Tracheostomies, Telemetry Interpretation
- Understanding of Hemodynamics and PA Catheter setup and interpretation
- Advanced skills in transvenous pacing, cardioversion, and TEE
- Familiarity with chest tube insertions and maintenance

Certifications:
- None required; CCRN certification recommended.

Dress Code:
- Navy or Navy and White scrubs (no pullovers or hoodies, no green scrubs except when uniform is soiled).
