Ultrasound Technologist PRN, HCA Florida Largo Hospital

Our imaging team is growing! Largo Hospital is expanding emergency medical services for Clearwater, Dunedin and surrounding areas with the opening of our new free-standing ER on Main Street in Clearwater. This state-of-the-art facility will feature 10, 860 square feet with 11 treatment rooms, including a dedicated area for EMS and trauma patients.

Ultrasound Technologist - PRN/Per Diem

Your tasks and responsibilities as an Ultrasound Technologist (or Sonographer) include but are not limited to:

. Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner

. Accurately perform sonogram examinations in a timely manner

. Be responsible for recording and processing ultrasound images

. Maintain statistical results for quality improvement

. Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, and/or test results

Qualifications

• . A two-year Allied Health degree or successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved program
• . Valid ARDMS certifications: RVT (Registered Vascular Tech) and ARDMS AB or ARDMS OB/GYN
• . Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• . 1-3 years previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  
• Other skills needed: organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, clerical, basic computer, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading, comprehension of written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions
