Job Summary and Qualifications

Position responsibilities:

• Performs duties according to education and training as assigned by the professional staff
• Assists as directed in an emergency situation
• Attends all unit meetings. If unable to attend, obtains information from minutes of meeting
• Assists with performing routine maintenance of equipment
• Assists with cleaning and sterilizing equipment as required
• Performs efficiently with CPCS. Maintains ongoing training and proficiency with CPCS
• Performs efficiently with eMar. Maintains ongoing training and proficiency with eMar
• Provides age and culturally appropriate care
• Attend Code of Conduct training course annually
• Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to HCAs Code of Conduct
• Understands and satisfies the needs of the patient population appropriate to the age of the patient served (adults, geriatric, adolescent, pediatric, and parents of neonates)
• Adheres to the Standards of Behavior for Terre Haute Regional Hospital as per the Customer Relations Policy

Essential educational/licensure, skills and experience:

• An individual who holds a student permit may only perform respiratory care procedures that have been part of a course:
• The individual has successfully completed in the respiratory care program designated under Article 34.5-2-14 Student Permits, subsection (a) (3) of IC 25.
• For which the successful completion has been documented and this is available upon request.
• BCLS upon hire and maintained throughout employment
• Student Respiratory Care permit
