Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg/Telemetry Location: Sumner Regional Medical Center, Gallatin, Tennessee Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Employment Type: Travel Contract
Position Overview: Sumner Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel RN to join its MedSurg/Telemetry team for night shift coverage. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care with professionalism and compassion.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the MedSurg/Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in MedSurg and Telemetry nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
