HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Burlington, North Carolina.

Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Facility: Cone Health - Alamance Regional Medical Center
Location: 1240 Huffman Mill Rd, Burlington, NC 27215
Contract Type: Travel Assignment (10 Weeks)
Start Date: September 2, 2025
Specialty: Cardiac Medical PCU
Job Details
Shift Schedule:
- Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
- Weekend/Holiday Rotation: As needed (holiday RTO not accepted)
- Scheduling: Self-assisted via OptiLink (6-week blocks)
Patient Ratio: 1:5 (1:4 with drips/BiPAP)
Requirements Qualifications
Licensure Certifications:
- Active RN License: North Carolina (NC) (required at submission)
- Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS (required)
- NIHSS (preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac PCU experience
- Required Skills:
- Cardiac drip management (no titration)
- Dysrhythmia interpretation/telemetry monitoring
- Post-cardiac cath care, chest tube/PICC management
- EPIC proficiency (required)
- Preferred: Charge nurse experience
Unit Facility Details
- Unit Size: 30 private beds
- Patient Population:
- Primary: CHF, ACS, arrhythmias, pre/post cardiac cath
- Secondary: COPD, pneumonia, BiPAP-dependent
- Support:
- Centralized cardiac monitoring
- Nurse assistants 24/7, unit secretary (07:00-23:00)
