Business Finance Manager - IDD Services (Indiana)

As the Business Finance Manager for Indiana, you will guide the states finance function, partner closely with senior leadership, and oversee a diverse portfolio of services. This is a hands-on, influential role for someone who enjoys shaping financial strategy, strengthening operations, and ensuring accuracy across all financial reporting.
What Youll Be Doing:
. Designing and managing the states financial roadmap, including annual budgets, quarterly targets, staffing plans, and ongoing forecasts.
. Creating long-term financial strategies that consider geography, service lines, growth opportunities, and operational efficiencies.
. Acting as the key connection between Indiana operations and corporate finance/accounting teams.
. Collaborating with corporate partners to refine systems and processes that support both business requirements and field operational needs.
. Reviewing monthly and quarterly performance for all service areas and identifying trends, variances, and action steps.
. Serving as the primary financial thought partner for the Operating Group, Regional VP, and State Executive Director.
. Evaluating staffing changes, wage planning, and headcount requests.
. Reviewing and advising on capital/operating expenditure requests.
. Contributing financial insight to contracts, proposals, and business development efforts.
. Maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring the integrity of accounting operations.
Who Were Looking For:
. Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field is required (Masters-MBA, MPA, or similar is preferred).
. At least five years of experience in financial management or accounting.
. Someone who can juggle competing priorities with confidence and stay organized under pressure.
. Advanced Excel capability, comfortable with large datasets, complex spreadsheets, and quick-turn analysis.
. Medicaid finance experience is a strong plus.
. A leader who is collaborative, dependable, and focused on achieving measurable results.
. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence, guide, and support teams at all levels.
