GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Performs all Nuclear Medicine procedures according to established policies and procedures, methods and standards to provide quality patient care.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• . Document patient information and perform other non-clinical duties to support procedure completion.
• . Greet and identify correct patient and provide a brief explanation of requested procedure to ensure patient care and patients right to know.
• . Perform all aspects of radiopharmaceutical preparation for scintigraphy, bioassay, and therapeutic procedures and disposes of radioactive trash according to department policy and Nuclear Regulatory Commission standards.
• . Perform imaging and therapeutic procedures according to requirements.
• . Perform non-clinical activities pertinent to equipment maintenance and NRC regulations for Quality Control and radiation monitoring.
• . Maintain appropriate supplies and a clean, organized work environment.
• . Participate in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of Nuclear Medicine.
• . Perform other duties as required.
• . Must read, understand, and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.
• . Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.

EDUCATION:

. Graduate of accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.

EXPERIENCE:

• . Experience in Nuclear Medicine (may include experience in formal NM formal training program)
• . Prefer three years experience in nuclear medicine department.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

• . Required to be registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Or Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist
