Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) . Corrections . Night Shift
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join their team in Palestine, Texas. This role involves providing high . quality nursing care in a corrections environment during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
. Delivering patient care in accordance with established protocols and procedures
. Responding to and reporting changes in patients condition
. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
. Documenting all nursing care, change in condition, response to therapy, treatments, procedures and referrals on patient record to meet standards
. Participating in patient and family teaching as necessary
Requirements:
. Must hold a current LVN license in Texas or a compact state
. Minimum of 2 years of LVN experience
. At least 1 year of acute care or med surg experience
. Experience in LTAC, ER, Skilled Nursing, and/or Psych is a plus
. Must be thick . skinned, independent, and able to thrive in a fast . paced environment
. COVID . 19 vaccination is required, exemptions may be considered
This role requires flexibility to float as needed to different units within a 50 . mile radius. The work week runs from Saturday to Friday, with potential for overtime based on performance. The position is for a 13 . week contract with the possibility of extension.
