HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Job Description Requirements
- Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit
- Discipline: RN
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours, nights
- Employment Type: Travel
Must have: 2+ years experience
. Strong Telemetry Skills
. Experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications
. Chest tube experience
. Past ICU experience
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
. Open Heart experience
. Temporary pacing
. Swan-Ganz Catheter experience
Procedures performed on unit:
. Intubation
. Central line and arterial line placement
. Chest tube placement
Certifications Required:
. ACLS
. BLS, NIH
Unit Specifics:
. Number of Beds: 25 bed
. Patient Ratios : 2:1
. Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : No LNAs or PCTs. Around the clock mid-levels, Trauma surgeons and respiratory therapist. PT/OT available during day shift
. Type of equipment : GE Monitors, Hamilton Bipaps and Hiflows. Puritan ventilator, Hemospheres.
. Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
. Scheduling requirements: 12 shifts month (3 shifts a week). 4 weekend shifts Month. Department leadership completes the schedule around the RTO
. Floating policy: Floating will be on a rotation basis with Travelers floating first
. Patient Experience requirements: MyCare board are updated each shift during bedside shift report. Bedside shift report is completed at each change of shift

. Certifications:
o Comprehensive Stroke Center
o Level 2 Trauma Center
o Three Star STS Open Heart Program
