Unit Details# of beds 8A-12 beds and 8B-13 beds high acuity unitRatios 1:2 and occasionally 1:1Required Certifications Experienced ICU RNsCommon diagnoses/Types of patients Heart. Lung Transplants, LVAD patients in C8A, ACB and Valve surgeries in C8BExperience or Must have skills: CRRT trainedAre RNs required to titrate drips? yesCommon titratable /or set rate drips All vasoactive drips for cardiac patientsCharge Nurse/House Supervisor Unit has charge RN that has patients most of the timeAre there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios 1 PCA on the floorHospitalist or Intensivist in house Intensivist modelRT in ICU 24/7 RT assigned to unitRT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) any equipment that is managed by an RTIs there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?
