Job Description: Night Shift Acute Care Nurse

Location: Marion, NC
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Unit Name: Acute Care
Number of Beds: 23
Patient Ratios: 1:6 night shift

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Acute Care Nurse to join our team in a community hospital setting. This facility is focused on providing quality healthcare to the local population, offering a wide range of services including primary and specialty care. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute care setting, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
- Monitor patient conditions and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using the Cerner documentation system.
- Collaborate effectively with support staff, including Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs).

Qualifications:
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification is also needed.
- Experience in an acute care or critical care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Specifics:
- Required uniform: Navy scrubs.
- Staffing includes 1 HUC and PCTs (3 on day shift, 2 on night shift).
- Floating to the Emergency Department may occur as needed.
