Job Title: Operating Room RN - 10H Days

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a fulfilling 10-hour day shift position. This role requires a strong orthopedic background and offers a dynamic work environment where nurses can showcase their skills while providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Operating Room.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Assist with positioning, draping, and surgical procedures as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Cerner preferred systems.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including 1-2 nights per week and 3 weekend call shifts every 10 weeks, with a required response time of 30 minutes.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty, with a strong orthopedic background.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Active Virginia or Compact nursing license at the time of submission.
- Travel experience is required for all positions, and candidates must be willing to float as needed.
- All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application package.

Orientation and Schedule:
- New orientations occur bi-weekly on Mondays.
- The standard work schedule includes 4 x 10-hour shifts, ending on Saturdays.

Additional Information:
- Candidates should be aware that assignments may be canceled up to 36 hours prior due to patient census.
