Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Hilo, Hawaii.

Guaranteed Hours: None (36 scheduled hours/week, but not guaranteed)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days)
Position Urgency: Normal
Facility Unit Details:
- Unit Type: Progressive Care
- Unit Size: 15 beds total
- 3 Step-Down ICU
- 12 Telemetry
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:
- 1:3 for Step-Down ICU
- 1:4 for Progressive Care
Required Experience Skills:
- Minimum: 1 year acute hospital care experience within the last year
- Preferred: Experience in Progressive Care and Telemetry
- Required skills:
- Primary nursing care
- Telemetry monitoring strip reading
- Fingerstick blood sugar checks
Certifications Licensure:
- Hawaii RN License - Must apply upon offer; must be active by start date
- ACLS - Preferred
- PALS - Preferred
- NIHSS - Preferred
- Flu Vaccination - Required or approved medical/religious exemption before start
Equipment Used:
- Charting: Meditech
- Medication Management: Pyxis
- Monitoring/Support:
- BIPAP
- Continuous cardiac monitoring
Scheduling Orientation:
- Orientation: 1 week
- Schedule After Orientation: 36 hours/week (not guaranteed)
- Call Requirement: None
Floating Requirements:
- Yes - Must float to all acute units including:
- Medical
- Surgical/Pediatrics
- ICU
- ER
Dress Code:
- Scrubs (specific color not noted)
