ICU has 24 total beds with the ability to care for ICU and IMCU patient populations with care aide support. This team supports open heart, neuro surg, CRRT programs, as the level 2 trauma center for the UP of Michigan, Cath lab and Interventional radiology perform high risk PCI and high-risk procedures. Clinical Educator located on the unit and follows the ECCOs program for orientation. Acuity changes from high ICU census to high IMCU census.

How you will contribute

. Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we Are looking for

Applicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelors degree preferred).

. Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)

. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) (within 1 year)
