HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN CTICU - Cardiothoracic Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Registered Nurse - Cardio Thoracic ICU
Location: FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC
Start Date: September 2, 2025
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:00)
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardio Thoracic ICU RN to provide specialized care for post-cardiac surgery patients, including CABG, valve replacements, and LVAD management. This role requires expertise in critical cardiac interventions and ventilator management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage fresh post-op cardiac patients (directly from OR) with 1:1-1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios.
- Titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips, monitor PA lines, and manage VADs (LVAD/RVAD).
- Assist with chest tube insertion/removal, ventilator management, and procedural sedation.
- Float to other units as needed (required).
- Document care in Epic EHR (recent experience required).
Requirements
- License: Active NC RN or Compact License (pending accepted with ETA).
- Experience: 1+ year in Cardiac ICU (fresh open-heart experience required).
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA).
- Skills:
- FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring.
- Swan-Ganz/PA line management.
- TAVR/TAVI post-op care.
- Compliance: Must reside outside Moore County.
Unit Details
- Patient Population: Adults (post-CABG, valve repairs, STEMI/NSTEMI, CHF).
- Special Equipment: FloTrac, Hemospheres, ventricular assist devices.
- Interdisciplinary Team: PT, RT, Rapid Response, Pharmacy.
