Pay: $38.72 - $58.08 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicants relevant experience
Summary:
Evaluates and treats patient populations for therapy needs. We are looking for a Certified Lymphedema Therapist to work in a busy outpatient clinic, Candidate must have experience with the cancer and breast population.
Responsibilities:
- Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patients condition.
- Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
- Provides education to the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
- Performs all underlying duties of the job including but not limited to supervising support personnel according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Licensed Physical Therapist - State
- Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy required. Preferred: Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Certified Lymphedema Therapist preferred.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
