TotalMed Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Marion, Illinois.
Job Description Requirements

Every other weekend. Every other holiday. Must have current active IL RN license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS. Two years of strong Med Surg/TELE and 1 travel assignment required. Neuro experience required. Some Critical Care or Step Down experience highly preferred. Recent EPIC experience required. Patient Population: Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, cerebral angiogram, and general medical. Will also need to be comfortable taking medical overflow patients. NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong Neuro assessments, basic tele interpretation, strict IOs/straight cath/Foleys, intitate/titrate heparin gtts., blood/blood product administration/venipuncture/blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain management, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasic, etc.). Additional Unit Information: New unit, initially will be a mixed unit with Neuro and Medical overflow.
