Assignment Details:
- Contract Type: Travel Assignment
- Start Date: September 15, 2025
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shifts: Nights - 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Block Scheduling: Not available
- Orientation: 20 hours (Non-billable)
- Floating: May be required
- Weekend/Holiday: Must work at least every other holiday
Major Clinical Duties:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological conditions in a stepdown unit, including post-operative and critically ill patients requiring close monitoring.
- Monitor and assess neurological status, vital signs, and patient responses to treatments, promptly identifying and reporting any changes or complications.
- Administer medications, including intravenous infusions, and manage advanced medical equipment as required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care to promote optimal recovery.
Requirements:
- Experience Required:
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in Stepdown Neuro prior to travel
- Travel experience accepted in place of permanent experience
- Licensure:
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or Compact license in hand at time of submission
- Certifications Required (must be active, no pending):
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale
