FTE: Full Time, 8.0, 64.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Flex
Pay: $38.72 - $58.08 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicants relevant experience
Summary:
Provides comprehensive intraoperative neuro-monitoring (IONM) during complex surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Elects optimal testing protocols to monitor the functional integrity of the neurological structures at risk appropriate to the surgical procedure being performed. May perform other testing outside of surgical procedures.
- Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
- Continuously monitors and alerts attending physician/surgeon of any critical changes.
- Follows American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS) guidelines related to Interoperative Monitoring (IOM).
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Associates degree, or graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program.
- Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) through American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET).
- Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM) experience in spine, intracranial, cardio-thoracic and peripheral nerve surgeries.
- Preferred: clinical neurophysiology experience.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
