Under the general supervision of the director of laboratory services or designee, perform laboratory tests demonstrating understanding of normal ranges due to sex and/or age from neonatal through geriatric population groups.

• You will perform automated, semi-automated, and manual procedures in the fields of bacteriology, parasitology, hematology, coagulation, serology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and immunohematology according to established procedures and policies.
• You will report results according to established professional standards, following the interpretation, verification, and validation of procedures.
• You will work actively and cooperatively with nursing and other hospital staff to ensure timely patient care. Assists with regulatory compliance.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelors degree in medical technology from an accredited college or university and successful score on a national examination for certification approved by the State Board, OR
• Completion of three years of academic study, with a minimum of 90 semester hours at an accredited college or university in a curriculum involving biological or physical science and at least 12 months of training at a school of medical technology approved by a national accrediting agency and pass a national examination for certification: OR
• A bachelors degree in one of the chemicals. Physical or biological sciences at an accredited college or university, and at least one year of additional full-tie experience or training in the specialty or subspecialty in which he/she performs test(s) and pass a national examination for certification approved by the State Board; OR
• Pass an exam for Clinical Laboratory Technologist given by the Department of Health and Human Services
• State of Nevada certification or eligibility.
• Experience in a large clinical laboratory and childrens hospital setting preferred; will consider new graduate of an accredited program of Medical Technology.
• Clinical Laboratory Technologist, or General Supervisor (Nevada), or bachelors degree, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
