Manages the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery. |
Manages the continuation of care by serving as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems who coordinate ongoing care needs for specialized patient groups. |
Demonstrates clinical knowledge and application of the nursing process to provide evidence-based patient care, consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. |
Utilizes knowledge of growth and development, psychopathology, and psychosocial systems to plan and implement aga-appropriate and culturally-sensitive care interventions. |

Provides health teaching in individual and group settings related to patient needs, recovery goals, and situation, including mental health problems, psychiatric and substance use disorders, treatment regimens and self management strategies, coping skills, relapse prevention, self-care activities, conflict and crisis management, problem solving skills, stress management, and relaxation techniques |
Demonstrates competence in crisis management, including verbal de-escalation skills and appropriate application of seclusion or restraint, in accordance with federal, state, local and facility regulations. |
