- Patient populations: Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatrics
- Skilled in unit procedures, equipment and therapy including:
- Chest Tube Insertion and Management
- Sequential Compression Device
- Blood Glucose Monitor
- PCA Machine
- Thorocentesis and Paracentesis
- TPN
- Thrombolytic Therapy
- Kangaroo Pump
- Central Line Insertion
- Responds to emergency situations
- Focuses on patient satisfaction through whiteboards, rounding and bedside reporting
- Demonstrates competency in delivery of care
- Receives patient Bedside Shift Report
- Delegates patient care tasks/responsibilities
- Completes and documents basic RN patient care activities
- Provides patient medications utilizing the patient 5 Rights
- Maintains patient safety as highest priority
- Maintains positive attitude
- Focuses on prompt answering of patient call lights
- Uses critical thinking to evaluate patient condition
