• Attends staff meetings and engages in hospital affairs such as Shared Governance as demonstrated through attendance, input, innovative ideas, and volunteering to serve on unit based or hospital councils.

• Demonstrates quality systems thinking through gaining and maintaining knowledge of the quality indicators including the nursing sensitive indicators.

What qualifications you will need:

REQUIRED Licensure - One of the following:

• Registered Nurse License issued by the Department of Health Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Registered Nurse with multi-state privilege granted to them by virtue of holding a license in one of the states participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact Agreement and who has not established permanent residency in Virginia.

REQUIRED Certifications/Credentials:

• BLS, Basic Life Support Certification from an approved agency.
• ACLS, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• PALS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• TNCC, Trauma Nurse Core Course.

REQUIRED Education:

• Graduate of a nursing program.

Preferred Experience:

• Two years RN experience.

PREFERRED Certifications/Credentials:

• ENPC, Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course.
• Specialty certification from a national accrediting organization.
• Member of a national professional nursing organization.
