Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) CVICU who advocates for patients and their families while utilizing the nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care. The RN collaborates with the care team to achieve quality outcomes aligned with hospital goals and communicates effectively.

What you will do:

You will apply nursing judgment through a systematic application of the nursing process, including:

• Assessment: Conducting comprehensive assessments and identifying patient education needs.
• Planning: Developing individualized care plans based on assessments and patient goals.
• Implementation: Prioritizing and executing nursing care competently.
• Evaluation: Conducting timely evaluations, recognizing changes in patient conditions, and adjusting care plans as needed.

You will collaborate with the patient care team to develop and communicate care plans effectively.You will utilize hand-off communication and SBAR methods to meet patient needs.You will demonstrate critical thinking, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining an efficient patient flow while addressing errors and unusual occurrences.You will document accurately and timely in patient medical records and communicating with the healthcare team and families.You will maintain current nursing knowledge and adherence to safety policies and procedures, including quality measures and infection prevention.You will supervise and be accountable for tasks delegated to unlicensed personnel per Texas BON rules.What qualifications you will need:Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start dateBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateAssociate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma (Required)Bachelors Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
