• • Four, 10.5 hour days. No weekends or holidays.
  • Participating in therapeutic activities and programs to meet patients psychosocial and developmental needs, and facilitating adjustment to health care experiences for patients
  • Serving as member of multidisciplinary team
  • Providing support to patients and families from birth to young adults
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Common interventions include support for procedures, siblings, development, and bereavement
  • Providing coping support for patients with both short and long-term hospitalizations
  • Maintaining resources which include ordering and stocking unit areas
  • Delegating work assignments to volunteers and participates in clinical training of student interns
• Minimum Qualifications Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Child Development, Child Life, or a closely related field with a concentration in child life.
  • 600-hour Child Life internship under the supervision of a certified child life specialist.
  • General skills to resolve problems requiring the use of child development theory, professional child life principles, and experienced#145;based knowledge.
  • Well-developed writing skills, and excellent communication skills including conflict resolution to effectively work as a team member.
  • Child Life Certification required within 1 year of hire

The posted pay range is Boston Childrens reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
